Scientists are constantly studying the human brain. They’ve long been fascinated with the differences between the sexes, even more so when they are able to actually prove a behavioral theory with biology. Some recent studies have been about the developmental and learning differences between boys and girls.
what is normal?
More than a week ago I wrote a tirade about my struggle to find a freelance editor who was willing to work with me. I will never publish that particular blog entry. It was an angry rant, fueled by rejection I wasn’t expecting.
Now that I have found a handful of editors who are willing to look at my work and we can mutually decide if we want to work together, I’ve cooled off and taken a mental step back. This is important. These editors are professionals, interested in helping a writer produce a polished, saleable product (a book). A couple of them have expressed curiosity about the subject matter, but it seems this is not their first criteria. They want to know if I’m serious and if I have the ability to write. I am serious and I do hope I have some writing ability that will grow and not become stagnant.

If you want to see how blogs can be used for more than chronicling someone’s sex life, hop on over and view the President’s blog. 😉 Someone pointed me to this otherwise I would’ve never thought to look for it.
As a longtime fan of The Onion, I really like this blog. Political differences aside, this sort of facetiouness is a time-honored American tradition in a new format. Benjamin Franklin would probably get a kick out of it.

Christian Bale is a ridiculously talented, under-rated actor. This is the guy who was able to bring Batman to life and make a serial-killer compelling and pitiable. I’ve enjoyed his movies since I first saw his haunting performance in Empire of the Sun back in junior high.
I finally sat down and watched The Machinist (El Maqinesta in Spain, where the film was made). Everyone has heard about his concentration-camp weight-loss. The real question is: why? I had put off watching the movie because I thought it would be dark, depressing and ultimately leave me with nothing. I should’ve trusted the abilities of Christian.

I meant to write this a couple weeks ago, but better late than never.
